Decades ago, when I was a client, we ran a brand workshop that brought together more than a hundred of our customers to imagine what could be next. They weren’t marketers. They came from every walk of life—teachers, nurses, construction workers, parents, college students. No titles. No “experts.” Just people willing to give their time, energy, and ideas for a day.

We built an environment where curiosity and imagination were part of the DNA. Where ideas didn’t have to be polished to be valuable. And once that happened, the room came alive. Ideas surfaced from places no one expected.

That day marked a turning point in my career: It changed how I thought about my work—how ideas are sparked, how possibility is unlocked, and how I coach now. It was the start of seeing potential everywhere.

Creativity isn’t scarce. It’s just buried under habit, fear, and noise. But it’s still there, waiting for space, permission, and the right kind of question.
