DOING DRIVING ≠ BEING DRIVING

There’s a difference between doing driving and being driving. When you’re doing driving, you’re working at it—consciously checking your mirrors, gripping the wheel, scanning the road. You’re aware of every move. But when you’re being driving, it just happens. You’re in flow. You’re not overthinking how you’re doing it—you’re just …. doing it. It’s being comfortable in your own skin.

I still remember the first time I felt that way at work, like I wasn’t performing confidence or leadership or authority. I was just fully myself. And everything felt easier. I wasn’t trying so hard to manage how I came across. I could just… be.

Of course, that kind of ease doesn’t just happen. It takes real intention, and often, a lot of unlearning. You won’t feel that way 100% of the time. No one does. But if you can get there even most of the time? You’ll be amazed at what opens up when you feel in sync—when there’s no inner friction and no constant pressure to play the part or prove yourself.

That’s a major part of getting unstuck: Feeling more at ease in your role, more grounded in your choices, and more aligned with how you’re operating day to day. Not because everything is perfect, but because you’re being you instead of working so hard to do you.
